Flat Roof Extension

A client approached us with a brief to extend and alter the internal layout of their home in a residential area of Aberdeen, with the idea of forming a new contemporary south facing fully glazed flat roof extension, allowing them the additional space to convert their existing dining room into a much larger kitchen with a roof light.

After surveying the property, we worked closely with the client through various initial designs and potential options for the extension. With the help of 3D modelling to provide to-scale visual aids of the proposals, a final plan that best suited the client’s desires and budget was agreed. From there we created technical drawings, managed the structural engineering phase, as well as planning permissions and building warrant applications.

Whilst the client opted to manage construction on their own, we happily gave recommendations for trusted local contractors to carry out the work, whilst obtaining quotes for the client’s consideration.
