Planning Permission

The majority of new developments and alterations to existing buildings require either planning permission, building warrant, or both. Whether your project requires any of these will depend on your plans. We at Carden Project Management are happy to advise you to determine whether you need to apply or not.

If your project does require any these applications, We are able to prepare the required drawings and paperwork and make these applications on your behalf, Saving you time and effort in dealing with your local authority.

The planning system exists to make decisions about future developments, the use of land and how developments affect local resources and surroundings, all with the aim of achieving sustainable economic growth.

The majority of new developments require planning permission, however there are some areas where planning is not required. For example, if your project only involves work within an unlisted building or if your development falls under permitted development rights.

To find out more about the planning process or to find out whether you require planning for your project, please get in touch with us.

Building Warrant

The majority of building works in the UK and Scotland require a building warrant before works proceed, it is an offence to start building work without a warrant and you may be fined if you fail to get one.

However, there are some items that do not require a warrant as long as they comply with building regulations. To find out whether you require a building warrant for your proposed works, or if you need help with a submission or ensuring your works comply with the current regulations, please get in touch and we can help you.
